Helping people and their dogs live better lives together

This is our Sadie, cute and lovable...but, also was chewing everything, chasing the cats and not listening when asking her to do something. After doing much research, I found Eric from Premier Pack dog training!!! Wow, I am so glad I called. Eric had Sadie for 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks he came to our home sat down and explained every detail that he worked with Sadie on. He even demonstrated and had myself and my family work with Sadie while he was here. Just to see how we handled her and he was able to correct us when needed. Eric went over everything and it took a couple hours. He listened and addressed every question we had. Long story short, Sadie is like a new puppy. She is beyond the BEST behaved dog. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you for working your magic Eric. We truly couldn't be happier! BTW not once has she even attempted to eat the cats food.

We have had many dogs over the years from small terriers to 100 + pound lovable giants BUT we met our match with Samson! Could not get him under control ! From house training to walking to uncontrollable chewing on EVERYTHING ! He’s a big boy and can very easily knock me over . After training with Eric’s pack, we have an obedient 5 month old ! Initially, we were concerned that professional training would break our pup’s joyful spirit. To the contrary, we are all happier! Following through on Eric’s advice and building on the firm foundation he established has worked wonders. Samson willingly heels and calmly walks, comes when called and so much more ! It’s an investment for sure but so glad we took chance. You will be too!

Amazing work and efforts, now I have well behaved dog that I can walk with! He saved our life! Can’t thank you enough Eric

Premier Pack Dog Training (Eric) received our 13 month old puppy (Hank the Tank) in their three week boot camp program. Hank left our home as undisciplined, was always pulling when being walked, and chasing after animals that we encountered during our walks, including trying to chase after geese flying in the air above us! There were many behavioral issues with our Precious Hank, and it was not a question of if, but when Hank would get hurt or in trouble, if we could not get Hank trained to listen to commands.

When Eric brought Hank home from Boot camp, Hank was transformed into a disciplined and well behaved Dog!

Hank returned back to our family with his same unique traits (loving personality) as he had before attending the Premier Dog Training and Behavior Solutions!
But most importantly Eric instilled in Hank a clear understanding of commands, whether going on a walk (healing by our side), not chasing after other animals, allowing us to eat our meals in peace, while Hank lays peacefully in place!
We Love our Blessing (Hank), and now we hope for many years together with Hank in our lives (family)!
Enrolling Hank into the Premier Pack Dog Training and Behavior Solutions Boot Camp was the best decision our family made to insuring a well-disciplined family member Hank the Tank!
Blessings!!!

We recently adopted a 3 year old coonhound not realizing what we got ourselves into. Coonhounds are incredibly sweet but are instinctually hunting animals with a high prey drive and are known to be stubborn. Within the first week we were so overwhelmed. We were constantly chasing her around the yard while she went crazy after a squirrel, embarrassed to take her on walks because she was uncontrollable, she would constantly cry to go out the back door and we were feeling so defeated. I got on google and found Eric who had great reviews and was local. I reached out explaining our situation and he was able to come over for a meet and greet the same day. Immediately after just our meet and greet we felt at ease. Fast forward to now, after 3 weeks of training, we now have a different dog for the better. She is night and day different on walks, great in our yard and doesn’t react as often as she used to. If she ever has a slip up we now have the tools to immediately correct the behavior. We now go on 2 walks a day and feel comfortable to hang out on our deck with her in the yard. While she is SO much better behaved I do want to mention that nothing about her sweetness has changed. She still is the same sweet, loving dog just better mannered!

Lastly, three things to note: 1. Consistency is key. You must follow through on what Eric has been teaching your dog. It is not a 3 week course and then your dog is forever perfect. He teaches the dog but for long-term results you must keep up the practices at home as best as you can. 2. We were naive when it came to the e-collar. I had no idea there are ones with barely any levels (bad) and ones with 0-100 levels (good) that give you so much more control without harming your dog. Once seeing it in use I immediately felt better and I promise you will too. 3. We were so sad/nervous about leaving her for a few weeks but I promise it is harder on you than your dog. Being with him consistently for those few weeks is what’s needed if you really want to see a change.

To Eric - Thank you SO much. We can’t recommend you enough and will definitely be sending any of our future dogs to you!

Our dogs now calmly remain in one place when we’re eating AND when guests arrive at our door - need you read more? Okay okay, they also walk calmly next to us when on their leashes. I know, right?!? Jokes aside, if you’re looking for help improving your dog’s behavior and/or you’re hoping for more peace in your home, call Premier Dog Training.

Before our consult with Eric, my husband and I were considering re-homing our second rescue, Smalls (a 6-lb Pom mix we think?).
Smalls was stressed and unpredictable, terrified of all men (including my husband who LIVES HERE), barked constantly, and was even aggressive toward visitors. Our hearts were breaking, but we couldn’t continue to live in chaos. Our existing rescue, Luna, even began showing protective and reactive behaviors that we hadn’t ever seen from her before.

The call to Premier Dog Training changed all of our lives for the better. We had a great consult to introduce Eric to Smalls and Luna, to share our concerns and learn about the program. We decided to enroll in the board and train. I was nervous saying goodbye for three weeks, but Eric sent updates of their progress and photos of their adventures.

Eric took the time necessary to build trust with Smalls, a very big deal for a dog terrified of men. He taught leash skills, obedience, and brought back two confident dogs, ready to learn and eager to please. Smalls doesn’t bark, he happily snuggles my husband, and he doesn’t react to visitors. Luna walks calmly on a leash instead of pulling to sniff trees and chase squirrels. They both stay in their directed place during our meals at the kitchen table. Eric taught us exactly how to implement the program at home in order to continue our dogs’ (remarkable) progress.

Please know that the adults in the household will need to remain committed to the training for long-term success. Eric’s program, along with our continued focus on proper training at home, has turned a chaotic dynamic into a peaceful home - the humans AND the dogs are happier and less stressed thanks to Premier Dog Training. Thank you, Eric!!!

We My words can never be enough to express my gratitude for Eric Devine at Premier Pack Dog Training. Me, my son, and my dog Dierks are so thankful we found him. I was so overwhelmed with my frenchies behavior, he was very reactive and aggressive to everything on his walks, in our home, in the car, he was marking my house. When Eric came to evaluate him I had trouble even explaining fully his behavior because it was overwhelming!

I found Eric online through a Google search and decided to give it chance, even though, I had doubts my dog could ever learn to behave.
My dog spent 3 weeks with Eric, I would get videos and updates on his progress. He seemed to be doing so well, still I worried when my dog got home he would be the same.
On a Sunday Eric brought my dog home for his return and my training on how to continue this journey with my dog, and I am beyond happy for what it has done for my dog and us. My dog has stopped marking my house, he walks all over the neighborhood with me with no reaction or aggression, he is calm and relaxed in our home, I took him for a small car ride and he just sat calmly in my backseat, he comes when I call him, he responds to my commands, and so much more! He is finally enjoying the life he deserves, and so are me and my son.

Thank you Eric for all you have done for my dog and our family!!!!

Eric’s board and train program was a great investment for our dogs. We rescued a pit bull as a stray. We turned him over to a local rescue and no one came forward to claim him. We wanted to adopt him but after having a “failed” foster attempt at home (the rescue and our family dog were unable to get along), we had to explore the option of hiring a trainer. After consulting with a few trainers, we decided to work with Eric. He gave us weekly updates which was great! The three weeks went by quickly and at the end, Eric returned our dogs to us and spent a few hours going over how to proceed with reintegrating the dogs into our home and continuing the training ourselves. The dogs are doing great and their behavior has drastically improved. Before training, these two together (and sometimes even apart) were chaos and very stressful on us, after training it’s as quiet as can be and so pleasant in our home! We are so happy with the progress that was made and couldn’t have done this without Eric’s help!

We sent our 6 month old chocolate lab to Eric with premier pack dog training. Stanley was a wild puppy who needed help with manners and commands, but he also struggled with resource aggression at random even bit his dog dad. This was horrible news as he grew (vets predict he will be over 120 lbs) since he was such a fun loving dog that could flip a switch and be very mean. He was going to be too big for me to handle that sort of aggressive reactivity. There was little to no trust with Stanley being around people. After being with Eric for three short weeks we have Stanley back home with us filled with only the good parts of my sweet puppy. He is still happy and friendly but eager to please and show off his new training. Stanley has grown confident and happy in knowing exactly what we want. This has already given Stanley so much freedom like running through our NOT fenced in yard with the trust that he will respond well to commands. When we feed Stanley he looks to us for permission to eat and will listen if we ask him to move away same with bones, toys, or any object he may find. Stanley is now the easiest dog to walk on a leash without any reactivity “eyes to thigh” right next to us. Stanley now can lay in place as pictured below when needed and he will not move until told so which is great for people at the door, eating dinner, or when I am taking meetings working from home. When Eric dropped Stanley off he had him lay in place while we talked for over an hour and I could not believe my crazy puppy stayed laying down the entire time. Stanley has been given a second chance to grow in our home since we are now able to trust him and he knows that he can trust us with the tools Eric has provided. I have seen videos of highly trained dogs that listen so well and I never thought that I would be an owner of one, yet here we are! We cannot thank Eric and premier pack dog training enough for giving us back our puppy that we can love dearly and show off. Finding a trainer/behavioralist for Stanley was a huge decision and there is not a morsel of regret now that Stanley gets to live a happy free life!

Eric trained our handsome great dane, Zakk for 3 weeks. There is a huge improvement in his manners. He walks well on a leash, almost to the point where you think you could drop the leash and he would still follow. Eric also gave us tools to keep Zack in place so that we can have people safely come into our home. Although his parents are still a work in progress we are glad that we chose Premier Pack to get us all on the right track.

What a difference! We adopted a two year old 110 pound very reactive St. Bernard. After spending a few weeks with Eric we can now take her for walks, she comes when she is called and stays on her "place" when told. She is more calm in the house and in the yard, even our neighbors have commented on the difference. Her new favorite thing to do is get one neighbors dogs in trouble because she just stands a few feet from the fence while they go crazy. We are very grateful for all the work Eric has done with her, now she can go out with us as part of the family instead of staying home. Thank you for opening up her world!

Our dog, Chip, had always been a bit anxious, needy, and territorial, but we never thought much of it until it escalated to the point that he bit me and it required stitches. We reached out to Eric in desperate need of some hope after another trainer recommended rehoming or even euthanasia.

He responded promptly and spent an hour on the phone with us the next day inquiring about details of Chip’s behaviors and personality as well as our routines and relationship with him. He provided us with honest, realistic feedback and also expressed confidence that there was potential for a lot of improvement. This was a huge relief and gave us hope. I had read tons of glowing reviews for Eric’s program and wondered if it was too good to be true.

After spending 3 and a half weeks with Eric in his board and train program, Chip’s attitude and behavior were almost unrecognizable in the best way. I never dreamed he would walk in a perfect heel instead of dragging us through the neighborhood, stay in “place” or show any self-control. Not only that, Eric also trained US and provided us with tools to learn what Chip actually needs from us and how to develop a relationship of respect.

Chip has been home for 5 days and continues to amaze us with his behavior as we work to maintain and build upon the training Eric provided. We now feel confident and equipped to navigate the transition into parenthood safely and responsibly. We cannot thank Eric or recommend his services enough… they are well worth every penny.

Our ~2yr old Great Pyrenees, Olive, was so difficult to control and aggressive that we had stopped taking her for walks. Even at home, managing Olive and keeping her from going after our senior Pyr and our cats was a constant source of stress. Still, I was hesitant to send her away to live with someone I barely knew. I am thrilled to report that after completing Eric’s 3 week program, we feel like we have a dramatically different and better behaved dog. Our only regret is that we didn’t find Eric and send our pup to him sooner! Eric has been extremely patient and responsive with our many questions throughout the process. I highly recommend Eric’s program and can say without a doubt that it is the best investment we could have made for ourselves and our pets.

We just got our pup Scooby back earlier this week and what a change! Walks have became so less stressful, no tugging and stays right by our side. My favorite is how he sits when I stop walking! Also, now that he has a “place” to go I am free to cook in the kitchen without tripping over him anymore. 100% recommend to anyone, not only the change in Scooby but I couldn’t have felt better leaving my dog with anyone else! Thank you Eric!

My family rescued a four month old lab mix (Nelson) who, despite his great personality and overwhelming cuteness, was overcome with anxiety that progressively worsened. He began showing early signs of reactivity (tugging on his leash, barking and lunging at strange people and dogs) and was becoming increasingly unpredictable around our cats. I found Eric’s program through desperate Google searches, and he instantly eased our concerns. While we waited for Nelson’s turn to enter Eric’s program, Eric constantly made himself available to answer all of our questions and help to manage Nelson’s behavior. Nelson spent three weeks with Eric, during which time we received frequent progress updates. Now, Nelson is a brand new dog, and we couldn’t be happier. Eric’s program gave our puppy the confidence to carry himself in new environments respectfully. He also instilled crucial obedience training in both Nelson and us, giving us the tools to maintain all of the hard work Eric put into shaping our puppy. Eric reminded us what the relationship between families and their dogs should be. Nelson now walks without pulling, can be trusted and reliable off leash, knows how to occupy himself if we are busy, and has even befriended our cats! I couldn’t recommend Eric’s program more— everyone deserves the fulfilling relationship with their dog that Eric helped us achieve with Nelson.

We have a 9-month-old Picardy Shepard that despite my best efforts was just a handful, no real discipline. yes a puppy, and yet could cause stress in home. He was In desperate need of training. We contacted Premier Pack Dog Training about 4 months prior to getting him in to training. They gave us encouragement and hope. I was concerned about waiting those 4 months but thought. if Premier Pack Dog Training is fully booked then that must be some great training. Eric, the owner, did not disappoint. Our dog (Radar) :-) came back to us after three weeks on (what I named) puppy boot camp. a trained dog. We now have the tools to allow Radar, to develop into a fine, enjoyable lifetime member of our family. This morning Radar went on his daily walk in a healed, attentive position. it was a joy. we play fetch off lead, and he came immediately when called. When home, if we command him to “place” he does. He is back from puppy boot camp a better, more educated dog. A heartfelt thank you to Eric and his team. I don’t generally write reviews .. but this company needs acknowledgement. We’d give six stars. but that not an option :-) We’ll worth the wait, we’ll worth the money.

When our 2-year-old German Shepherd began to challenge his place in our household, Eric helped us understand the severity of the situation. After an initial conversation, we learned how important it was to get Wulfric trained with appropriate tools. After just under 3 weeks boarding & training with Eric, Wulfric returned home with a brand-new attitude. Now, he looks to us constantly for the right thing to be doing. He is especially good at the “come” command, which was a very loose suggestion before. Regardless, if Wulfric decides to take our direction as an option at any point, we are equipped with the tools to communicate our expectations clearly. On top of the e-collar training, Eric has helped us understand the mindset and environment we need to create and maintain in order to set up Wulfric for success. Although it was a difficult experience to go through with our beloved dog, we are ecstatic with the results and have the ultimate confidence that Wulfric hears us clearly every time we are giving him direction.

Eric just had our 9 month old hyper mini goldendoodle and we are beyond shocked by the results!!!

Never did I think that our 5 year old daughter could walk her and be successful but she is. The peace we now have using the commands in training Eric provided are priceless. He did amazing!

So, I just adapted a American Bully. From the first time meeting him I knew I wouldn’t be able to train him. So, I looked for Trainers in canton and I found Eric. Am I glad I found him? I called him to ask about details and price and he answered all my questions and concerns and gave a very fair price for 3 weeks training. Eric even gave me training collars for free. I just got my dog back today and I am very impressed with his training, he is a totally different dog now all thanks to Eric. I would recommend Eric to anyone who’s looking for a better behaving dog all around.

Everything we could have hoped for and more. Our pup had some issues with anxiety, barking, and squirrels. Now, when he barks or whines about something all I have to do is tell him no and it stops. Before he would get nervous around new people and dogs on our walks. He would start barking and I’d have to pull him back. After his training with Eric, we can walk through the neighborhood and the trails without any problems. One of the things we were worried about before sending him to Premier Pack Dog Training was how his personality would be after. It was a huge relief when he came running to us with the same excitement without all the nervous/anxious energy.

We just got our mastiff back two days ago and I can already say that this training with Eric has changed our lives in such a positive way. My dog is very sweet but was extremely reactive. In meeting with Eric when he returned my dog, we spent a good chunk of time reviewing the training which left me feeling ready to take over. I’ve been able to walk by people and dogs on the street without my dog putting on a show. I’ve been practicing off leash time in our field and he comes back immediately when I call him. I could not be happier with this experience and highly recommend Premier Pack Dog Training to anyone who’s looking for some help!

When we rescued our dog as a puppy, we thought she was the sweetest thing. But man, is she stubborn sometimes! Which made it difficult for me to train her -- as a single mother of two with two jobs. I had been contacted by our property manager on more than one occasion about our dog. I was at a point of either getting her trained quickly or risking needing to rehome her. When I first reached out to Premier Pack, I was at a loss and afraid that there would be no fixing it. Eric was immediately reassuring and his confidence that he would be able to help was encouraging. For the value, I would have paid double! My sweet, stubborn girl is a completely different dog! She follows the commands we were taught; she seems more confident (which helps me feel more confident), and she is finally about to accompany us to the park and to sports practices (where dogs are allowed). I feel like Premier Pack provided an invaluable service for our family and solutions that allowed us to keep a member of our family. I really was on the verge of deciding to rehome her, because I couldn't afford to move out. Her behavior was atrocious, and I was heartbroken that MY decisions and lack of training would have been the reason. Eric helped alleviate that shame and sadness by doing what I simply didn't have the knowledge, understanding, or time to accomplish. And I am so very grateful!
